Skin Type and Diet
Eating a well-balanced diet is the foundation for maintaining a healthy mind and body, with the skin being no exception. Knowing your skin type means you can solve some complexion issues just by changing what you eat. For instance, oily skin types should stay away from junk food, saturated fats, sugars, and alcohol.
On the other hand, people with dry skin types need to make sure they drink plenty of water. It also helps to incorporate antioxidant-rich foods and beverages into the diet. This is actually always good advice for skin care, but it is especially important for dry skin.
People with normal or combination skin have to find the balance that is right for them as each case is different. Normal skin will show a tendency towards either oily or dry skin when not in full health so you’ll need to determine your food plan based on what kind of symptoms you’re experiencing.
